Psychotherapists and counsellors are required to have regular clinical supervision by their ethical and professional body.

The purpose of clinical supervision is to enhance the clinical practice of psychotherapists and counsellors through casework discussions. It also serves the purpose of professional development.

The aims of clinical supervision are:

• To ensure the psychotherapist/ counsellor is working safely and ethically
• To support the psychotherapist/ counsellor's professional growth and development
• To explore the impact the psychotherapist/ counsellor's clients have on their work and their wellbeing.
• To consult on challenges and difficulties the psychotherapist/ counsellor encounters in their clinical work with clients.
• To enhance the psychotherapist/ counsellor's knowledge and expertise.
  
  Clinical supervision is a supportive space to reflect on the therapeutic work that is being done with clients.
  
  I am a qualified and experienced Clinical Supervisor, COSRT Accredited. My supervision perspective is integrative.
  
  I provide ongoing clinical supervision for

• Therapists treating compulsive sexual behaviours & problematic porn use.
• Trauma therapists
• Psychotherapists and counsellors working with sexual trauma, including adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

  I also provide one-off clinical supervision for psychotherapists, counsellors and other health professionals who need supervision and guidance working with a particular client/ patient presenting with:
• Sexual problems.
• Relationship problems.
• Compulsive sexual behaviours.
• Sexual trauma: adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, rape, etc.
• Other traumas: adult survivors of childhood neglect, people suffering from PTSD.
• Complex grief and bereavement.
